IPFA 2nd Asia Workshop on Plasma Quality and Supply, Yogyakarta, Indonesia


The International Plasma Fractionation Association (IPFA) is pleased to announce the second IPFA Asia Workshop on Plasma Quality and Supply. This Workshop will build on the success of the meeting held in Taiwan in March 2016, which highlighted the importance of this topic for the region. The inaugural meeting attracted 175 delegates from 30 countries. 

Meeting Dates and Venue

This second Workshop will take place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 March 2017 at the Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. 

Workshop Programme

The Workshop Programme is available. 

This Workshop will identify and discuss key issues, strategies and opportunities to meet the increasing requirements for Plasma for Fractionation and essential plasma derived Medicinal Products in the Asia region. In collaboration with and hosted by the Indonesian Association of Transfusion Medicine (IATM), a comprehensive range of topics will be

addressed including:

  • Donor recruitment and selection
  • Screening and diagnostic programmes for blood borne pathogens
  • GMP and Quality management for Plasma for Fractionation
  • Regulatory issues
  • Plasma fractionation options
  • Clinical developments in the use of Plasma Derivatives
  • Product supply strategies to reduce dependency on imported products. 

Who should attend

The Workshop is being developed by internationally recognised experts and will be of interest to colleagues with an involvement in policies to secure the supply of plasma from the region to meet increasing patient needs for essential plasma derivatives. These will include delegates from: blood establishments, doctors and health care providers, patient and donor organisations, supporting industries, regulatory authorities and Health Ministries and Agencies.

Conference Language

The official language of the Workshop is English and no translation will be available.

We have set the registration fee at a reduced rate of EURO 200 to maximize potential attendance by stakeholders in the region. Please use this link for on-line registration or provide us with the registration form by email. 

Accommodation - Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Accommodation arrangements for a reduced rate for our delegates have been made with the Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel, a five star heritage hotel in Yogyakarta. The offered rate is as follows:

  • Premiere Room, single/double occupancy Rp 1,350,000
  • Junior Suite, single/double occupancy Rp 2,350,000

For Visa application please check with the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate in your country concerning the specific visa regulations.The organisers will send letters of invitation upon request to registered participants only. Delegates requiring a Letter of Invitation to attend the Workshop may write to IPFA: info@ipfa.nl. Please include a copy of your passport.
